What is an “ARMY”?
“A.R.M.Y” stands for “Adorable Representative M.C. for Youth” and it carries quite some meaning behind it, given that “Army” is associated with the military, body armor, and how those two things are always together, the fandom name basically means that fans will always be together with BTS.
In those past four years of becoming an ARMY. I learned and experienced a lot of things. One of those things is having a positive outlook in life, these seven idols gave me inspiration and motivation in my life wherein there are times that I almost ended my life, but just by listening to their music and looking into their great lyricism. I was given an inspiration that life goes on, whether you think life only has suffering and sadness. Being an ARMY made me realize that life is just full of ups and downs, its perfectly okay to be sad sometimes and let the time heal you to fight for your life again.

Who are BTS?
I’m sure that you heard the word BTS before, nope it’s not Behind The Scenes but the group BTS. Let me introduce you to the seven idols that made my life better.
BTS (Korean: 방탄소년단; RR: Bangtan Sonyeondan), also known as the Bangtan Boys, is a South Korean boy band that was formed in 2010 and debuted in 2013 under Big Hit Entertainment. Consisting of members Jin, Suga, J-Hope, RM, Jimin, V, and Jungkook.
Originally a hip hop group, their musical style has evolved to include a wide range of genres. Their lyrics, often focused on personal and social commentary, touch on the themes of mental health, troubles of school-age youth and coming of age, loss, the journey towards loving oneself, and individualism. Their work also often references literature and psychological concepts and includes an alternative universe storyline.

How did I become an ARMY?
In 2016, my cousin introduced me into a korean boy group called Bangtan Sonyeondan, at first I didn’t have that much interest in the group because idols and boy groups aren’t really my thing. After awhile I started noticing that I’m always updated on there newest songs, albums and variety shows. I also started to notice that I’m enjoying their songs which I don’t normally do since they are singing in korean language, so different from my native language. I got curious about them, then I started to watch some videos about them, read some informations about them and so on. It all started as “I just want to know their names” but now they became a part of my life.
Experiences of being an ARMY
I experienced a lot of great things while I’m an ARMY. First, being an ARMY led me to know what my true passion, is and that is writing. Being an ARMY also led me to my friends which are also ARMYs. If I’m not a fan of BTS right now, then I wouldn’t got to meet my friends. I also experience attending some BTS events, like concerts in a cinema and so on. That was the happiest day of my life.
